Start with You

“When there’s hurt in your heart,

get it out” she said,

Close the door, cut the chord.

And put it to bed.

—

Leave the path paved in “one day”s.

The doubt of tomorrow.

Cut free from the guilt -

And yesterday’s sorrow.

—

Lean on the Promise of the Present.

—

Don’t let the ‘what if’s’ & worry steep too long

For fear festers in the dark.

Light lifts the darkest shadows,

And creates magic with a spark.

—

There’s a song in your soul,

And a poem on your heart,

So when you can’t hear the music,

Just Start.

—

If you need something to stand for,

To believe in, to do.

There’s only one way -

Start with You.

—

If you’re searching for answers,

A guide or a guru.

X marks the spot,

Start with You.
